Brief Introduction:

KD series full hydraulic taphole drill machine

“KD” series full hydraulic taphole drill machine is USTB( University of Science and Technology Beijing ) according to most domestic blast furnace smelting equipment layout of the specific circumstances, after years of research, developed a kind of equipments which is easy to operate, safe and reliable, convenient maintenance, energy saving and environmental protection used to quickly open the taphole, iron water release.

Brief Introduction:

The "KD" series full hydraulic taphole drill machine, developed by the University of Science and Technology Beijing (USTB), is specifically designed to accommodate the layout of most domestic blast furnace smelting equipment. After years of research, USTB has produced a machine that is easy to operate, safe and reliable, convenient for maintenance, and energy-saving and environmentally friendly. It is used to quickly open tapholes and release molten iron. The machine's structure is compact, requiring a small footprint, and it is exceedingly convenient for on-site operation and maintenance.

When the machine is in operation, the rail beam swings and rotates in the direction of the taphole. Upon reaching the working position, the hydraulic motor, driven by the sprocket, chain, and rack, propels the car forward. Simultaneously, the percussive drill beneath the frame begins to operate, initiating the impact crusher and dolly feed to open the taphole.

Depending on the position of the taphole drill machine relative to the furnace, the mud gun is located at specific locations in front of the furnace. The taphole drill machine is categorized into "same side" and "different side" types. The "same side" type has the mud gun arranged on the same side as the iron runner, whereas in the "different side" type, the mud guns are positioned on the opposite side from the iron runner.
